10 Mar Cassadee Pope, Savannah Jack, Brooke Eden & Craig Morgan at South Florida Fair 2014
There’s country music all over the nation! My photography takes me to quite a few of the major events around Nashville and other stages throughout the country. Pretending to live in Nashville, traveling to LA, Las Vegas, New York and everywhere in between has this music photographer ecstatic when big city country music finds me in my home town! This year, not only was the music coming to me, it was bringing my favorite artists to our South Florida Fair.
Brooke Eden and Savannah Jack have both been in front of my camera on album cover / promo photo-shoots.
Savannah Jack brought the house and sun down with a few of their originals and great country classics…South Florida loved welcoming these awesome harmonizing friends of mine. Brooke Eden had the fun opportunity to open for That’s What I Love About Sunday singer, Craig Morgan. Brooke’s stage presence is awesome, her hometown, West Palm Beach, crowd is always excited to have her belt out Miranda Lambert hits and put crazy emotion into original ballads. Of course my favorite of Brooke’s stage set was an original tune of hers she coined with writer Phil Barton (writer of many hit songs including Lee Brice’s Woman Like You). Brooke’s song, I Took Your Picture Down Today, has so many visuals — on our recent photo-shoot we did a mini-music video using free-hanging picture frames! One of my favorite shots ever! One of the coolest parts [as my friends the Gherm Guys would probably say “ghermiest” part — smile] about photographing the South Florida Fair concerts this year was meeting season 3 The Voice, Team Blake winner, Cassadee Pope. Standing backstage with people who had won meet and greets and Cassadee’s friends and family, Cassadee said to me, “I’m so excited to meet you!” knowing her mom had told her to look out for the photographer with the pink sparkly camera — thought that was pretty fun when 99% of the time that conversation is reversed. Loved Cassadee’s sweet personality and incredible talent, whoa!! there’s a reason this girl won The Voice – man can she flawlessly sing. So neat to watch her perform live!
