Mary Sarah | People Of Country Music
Mary Sarah is more than just a Voice. Meaning, her career hasn’t been simply a “break” by making it to the top 8 on NBC’s show The Voice. Mary Sarah has been working at being a voice in country music since she was 8 years old, and really even earlier. Now in Mary Sarah’s young life, she has already recorded with country music legends like Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard and so many others! Not to mention a very special friendship with the amazing Oak Ridge Boys!
The word “luck” is overrated and overused. For someone like Mary Sarah, luck has found it’s way to her career, but it’s really the tiniest fraction in this young girl’s music-filled life. Faith, determination, hard work, and dedication are what have shaped this 21 year old’s world and made her who she is today. Faith was jumping out on a limb, with her family’s support, and moving to Los Angeles for her music career. She trusted in God that this was the right direction for her life. Determination was not being deflated but rather encouraged after not “winning” The Voice. She used that experience as a great point in her journey and was only inspired by the outcome. Hard work was creating an entire album called ‘Bridges’ with the best in the country music business, which lead to her Grand Ole Opry debut in 2016. Dedication is living, breathing, songwriting and singing, country music. Mary Sarah is saying true to herself and the music she wants the world to hear.
This episode of People Of Country Music will inspire you like no other interview you’ve ever heard, I promise! I loved that Mary Sarah rocked her “G” Garth Brooks World Tour top. I cannot wait to see her on tour with this legend, getting her dream opening slot for Garth Brooks! I was absolutely blown away by the conversation Mary Sarah. I could have talked to her for hours, and in fact we did have to cut a bit of our interview because we did talk for hours!
There’s also a little fun surprise at the end of the episode that you won’t want to miss — a little sneak peek into the songwriting of this great girl.
Thanks for watching, and be prepared to be inspired by Mary Sarah!
