Krista and Tyler’s Old Fish House Wedding
When you meet the person of your dreams, you just know, and when you meet someone who is going to become a good friend, you just know! I love the story of Krista and Tyler, and I love that when Krista hired me as her wedding photographer, she was adorable in the fact that she said she just didn’t want anyone else to capture her wedding. Since our first meeting and sunrise beach engagement session, we’ve become great friends and before her wedding day have now spent a few tailgates and football parties together!
Krista & Tyler’s Old Fish House wedding in Jupiter, Florida was something out of a fairytale, with the sprawling oak trees and beautiful florals by our friends at Flower & Fringe. Each detail had so much thought and personal attention, from the stunning letterpress incursions to the “message in a bottle” notes at the reception. I loved the bottles that you left advice in, and Krista and Tyler will open each bottle on that year of marriage. I wrote a message in the 5 year bottle, so you’ll have to wait a while for my advice. 😉
There were so many personal touches to their Old Fish House wedding. Krista and Tyler’s flower girl was a seasoned pro, who told us, “This is my fourth wedding, I’ve got this!” Krista’s childhood minister married the two under the greenery-covered ark.
Their first dance was amazing, and such a reflection of Tyler’s wonderful sense of humor. They started with a pretty Texas country music song by Josh Abbott Band called “She’s Like Texas,” and then broke out into a choreographed dance! The night perfectly ended after tons of dancing and Krista smashing cake in Tyler’s face.
Everything about Krista and Tyler’s Old Fish House wedding was just perfect, even the weather which called for rain but held off! We are so thrilled to have been part o this day, and call you both our friends. Cheers to the next chapter of your lives and photographing all the milestones.
